Dilmah forays into cinnamon

The launch of Dilmah Cinnamon took place as part of ‘The Renaissance of Finest Ceylon Cinnamon’ – a curated evening of gastronomy that showcased the versatility of Ceylon Cinnamon as a spice for use in every type of dish from savoury to sweet and everything in between. The gathering was attended by President Ranil Wickremesinghe as Chief Guest.

Dilmah Finest Ceylon Cinnamon, which will primarily be produced for export but sold locally as well, is set to embrace cinnamon’s storied history which goes back to ancient Egypt and beyond and reposition Sri Lanka in its rightful place as the only producer of true cinnamon – a position often undermined by similar products such as cassia, a spice similar to cinnamon but inferior in quality and flavour.

In keeping with the vision and legacy of Dilmah Tea Founder Merrill J. Fernando, Dilmah Finest Ceylon Cinnamon is grown and processed with environmental and social sustainability in mind.
