Dilmah Conservation launched Sri Lanka’s first urban Arboretum with a view of raising awareness and informing urban populations on the value of trees to our society, environment, economy and our future. The Arboretum is set to house 500 different trees from Sri Lanka as well as a cultural heritage center. The heritage center, along with constructions of a model Paddy-field, Irrigation Tank and Watch Hut, seeks to demonstrate the harmonious existence between Sri Lanka’s traditional farmers and nature.
