At MJF Centre, you are at a constant state of learning and becoming. 10 years ago, I joined this Centre as an external resource teacher and grew into the person who I am today, and I’m becoming the person I want to be one day. For me, it’s been a decade of growth and discovery. I had a dream and it aligned perfectly with MJF Foundation’s strategy of giving girls, boys, women and men the means to take control of their future. During my visits to MJF Centres across Sri Lanka, I saw an opportunity to support vulnerable people to discover their dreams.

Merrill J. Fernando indulged his true passion for tea and made it a successful business that is known by the world today. His humility and commitment to making a change in people and the planet are beyond admirable. The MJF Centre in Moratuwa gave me the chance to work with people from the edges of society and become a channel towards their change. Through the work I do, I believe that I am doing my best to fulfill our Founder’s purpose of making business a matter of human service.
