I have had the privilege of knowing Merrill from around 1995 when he came to Karachi to meet us and finalise our joint venture on the setting up of Packages Lanka Co. Ltd.
As a business collaboration it has been a very happy and successful enterprise. To me the added dividend has been the friendship I enjoyed in knowing Merrill and his talented and well-groomed sons Dilhan and Malik. Merrill has unique attitude towards seeking perfection in whatever he does. With all his success and achievements his humility and kindness overshadows all his other accomplishments.
His philanthropy, his affection for the less privileged adds to his stature and personality. I wish there were more individuals like Merrill. I pray for his continued good health. He is an icon to us all
